The following information will help this;
Tackle
Tackle hire is available at a cost of £5 per person and is of good quality. You are welcome to use your own equipment, especially for fly fishing and plugging.
Bait
Most of the time we can catch livebait, e.g. mackerel, launce. If specialised baits are needed, like worm or crab, you can bring your own. For some species fishing, other baits are required. We can discuss this and make arrangements accordingly.
Weather
We are fortunate in being situated on the more sheltered coast but will only go to sea in fair weather. The skipper will make a call on the weather on the evening before the trip. Safety and comfort are foremost in the decision making process. In the event of difficult conditions, we do have more sheltered areas that we can fish. These may yield a different kind of day and we will discuss this with you should the need arise.
Cancellations by the skipper due to bad weather are fully refundable.
Things to bring:
Please make sure you pack the following items:
Waterproof, non-slip footwear
Waterproof coat
Warm clothing
Food and drink (we have tea, coffee and fresh water)
Hat
Sun cream
Sunglasses
Some plastic bags (to take away your catch!)
Do you have hot drinks?
There is a boiler onboard for hot drinks.
Do you supply lunches?
No. You are responsible for providing your own food and drink.
Where is the marina and where do I go when I get there?
The marina address is Premier Marina, North Parade, Falmouth, TR11 2TD. You will meet me at the blue gate under the bar terrace, looking out over the boats. There is plenty of parking which is NOT free, you pay at the machine, check it for details and charges.
What time will my trip leave?
Start times depend on what trip you have booked. Normally we for an 8 hour trip we depart at 0800 and arrive back at about 1600, but it could be earlier depending on the tide for the day. For a 12 hour trip we may depart as early as 0600, arriving back at about 1800, but the time will be confirmed the evening before by text when we have checked the weather.
When will I know if my trip is going ahead?
We will text you the evening before your charter to confirm depart time when we have checked the weather. If you do not get a text by about 1930 please call us, 07779 728966 in case there is a problem with phone signal. Ensure you reply to this this text so we know you have received it.
